Through Aida’s story, readers learn what to expect in a courtroom, who the key people are, and how to handle common worries. Using simple language and interactive tools like the “fear cloud” and deep breathing exercises, the comic teaches children how to stay calm, speak clearly, and confidently tell the truth.
At its heart, You’re Not Alone reassures children that they are supported every step of the way — and that their most important job is simply to tell the truth.

Through scripted prompts, facilitator responses to common fears, role-play guidance, and practical courtroom education, the handbook ensures children and families are informed, emotionally supported, and properly prepared for the court process without influencing testimony.
