The booklet emphasizes the powerful influence of parental attitude, outlines accommodations available for young witnesses (such as support persons, CCTV testimony, screens, publication bans, and facility dogs), and provides guidance on managing fears, responding to difficult questions, and navigating the day of court. It also includes information on legal terminology, victim impact statements, restitution, financial benefits, and available supports, ensuring caregivers feel informed, calm, and equipped to advocate for their child throughout the judicial process.
